Painting

My paintings are nearly always created using acrylic paint and mixed media. I try to use as many differnet materials as possible including mediums.

My goal is to use strong colours to engage my audience and experiment with different pigments and intensities. I use medium to create texture especially when creating abstract landscapes.

My painting is very much driven from a place of therapy, I have been able to work through a range of emotions and experiences using painting as an outlet and a way to communicate what words may not be able to.

Jewellery

I have experience using a range of tools and techniques to create contemporary, visually appealing pieces. This includes soldering, sawing, riveting, drilling and moulding materials.

I have used brass, copper, silver and other less conventional materials including clay.

I enjoy making bold, large rings in particular and have focused on using marbles as a gem which I think creates a unique effect and also makes the rings accessible to all.

Glass

My pieces of glasswork were created using wet working techniques such as engraving, cutting, grinding and etching. These were then fired and refired to create the desired effect.

I have chosen to use colour in my works and to focus on bold shapes to create geometric patterns. I particularly like using black to offset the bright colours.
